Let me guess. You’ve been wondering how can kids can make money. How to make money as a kid is becoming a popular question these days.

I bet you’ve seen commercials of kids and your mind is taken by the fact that that could be your child on there, right?

Do you have a talented kid and everybody keeps saying how awesome your child is and you get hints on what he/she can become?

Or maybe your child is obsessed with toys or story books. Let me tell you that’s still a big thing! I’m going to tell you why in a little bit (I hope you’re excited to find out).

I’m about to show you how to make money as a kid and reap the rewards. Let’s go!

1. Photo Contests

There are so many photo contests out there that you can sign up to. They can win some really cool prices!

If your child is bold, great with people, smart/funny, outspoken, photogenic, can sing, have unique features, or whatever it is, you can feature your child as an influencer and brands will contact you.

Note that you’d need to be consistent, find a niche you want for your child to target, etc. For example, if your child has nice hair, you can showcase your child ever so often getting their hair washed. A YouTube Channel is a great way for your child to make money. It is free to sign up (you’ll create the account as the parent and manage it). This is a fab way how to make money as a kid at home.

So earlier I mentioned ‘toys’ right? How can toys make you money? A young YouTuber, Ryan, made 29 million Dollars in 2020, simply showcasing and playing with his toys! He has over 40 million subscribers.

Without a doubt, your child can do it too! Help your child to create that YouTube channel, that online space where he/she can create the content they love. It doesn’t have to be toys, can be anything. You’ll need 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to monetize.

6. Yard Sale

Want to know how to make money as a kid fast? Host a yard sale!

So if you want your child to make money, you can declutter and let some things go.

I know a lot of kids have toys, clothes, and other stuff they don’t use anymore. Help them sell these items and make money!

Set the date for a yard sale, get your child to choose the things they don’t necessarily need/use (this is going to be a challenge for some, they can get really attached, so brace yourself! Ha!).

As parents, you’ll know Some of the things they don’t use anymore, yet they’re in good condition to sell. Price your items and tell your neighbors and friends! Use social media as an advertising tool as well.

7. Lemonade Booth

I know there might be persons on here who weren’t born rich, in a wealthy family or well privileged. I know I wasn’t! If you were, then that’s good.

I just want you guys to know that we are all stars and we can create/embrace opportunities to change our lives and that of our offspring. I have a daughter and I would do anything just for her to have a better life. Remember, our kids are depending on us!
With that said, here are some ideas you can do to create wealth for your child.

10. Buy Real Estate For Your Child

If you’re able to invest in real estate, this could give your child a boost and blast off his/her future. This will appreciate well and your child could become a millionaire fast.

11. Custodial Roth IRA

A brilliant way to set up your child’s future for success and help them to make money is to start a Roth IRA.

It is an investment into your child’s future. The account is opened and controlled by the parent/guardian until the child gets to 18 or 21 years, depending on the state. Your child (now a young adult) can continue to make payments. The earlier you start investing, the greater the amount your child will reap.

The money is invested ‘after tax’ and the growth in this account is tax-free. Upon withdrawal at retirement, it is also tax-free. This is a great option for your child’s financial security.

12. Start A College Fund

The feeling to be stuck in student loan debt isn’t a nice one. Not to mention wanting to go to college and can’t.

A college fund is an amazing way to get your child started saving their tuition. Doing it early is a great move. There are many entities that provide this service, maybe even your local bank! Just ask! Remember, it’s never too early to start saving for college for your child and compound interest will be your best friend!

Life’s struggles can hinder so many things we want to do or achieve. It’s not that some people are better than others or you’re not as ambitious, sometimes it’s because they got a head start!
